About the role
- Be the first point of contact – provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors by managing enquiries, coordinating access, and offering empathetic support.
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date – maintain and process outpatient documentation in electronic and paper systems, ensuring smooth information flow between departments.
- Support clinical operations – coordinate appointments, liaise with medical and nursing teams, and assist with the timely follow-up of results and clinical information.
- Manage day-to-day administration – handle mail, bookings, supplies, and maintenance requests, while maintaining clinic databases and preparing reports within set deadlines.
- Uphold compliance and excellence – ensure all administrative processes meet hospital standards, policies, and health regulations while supporting a culture of quality and care.”
About you
- Strong admin expertise – backed by a Certificate III in Health Administration (or equivalent healthcare admin experience).
- Team-player mindset – you work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient care and service.
- Excellent communication skills – you communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing, even in sensitive or high-pressure situations.
- Tech-savvy and detail-driven – experienced with patient administration systems, Medicare billing, databases, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Organized and proactive – you manage competing priorities, solve problems independently, and keep calm under pressure.
