Salary: $131,870.90 - $134,500.70 (pro rata) + super

About the role
-
Drug and Alcohol Specialist Advisory Service (DASAS) is a 24/7 NSW state-wide, telephone service that offers advice to health professionals on the clinical management of patients with Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) concerns.

Working in tandem with the Hospital Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison (HDA-CL) team and Psychiatric Alcohol and Non-Prescription Drug Assessment (PANDA) Unit, in the assessment and management of patients with drug and alcohol related conditions during hospital presentations and/or during care.

Developing, facilitating, implementing and evaluating care management plans for patients with complex health needs. Providing leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.

Contributing to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs and participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
About you

Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field

Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she/they are appointed or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney

Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse

Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
