About the role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrator to support the Theranostics and Nuclear Medicine Department. This part-time role (Wednesday to Friday) is essential to deliver smooth, timely, and accurate patient services. In this role, you will:

  • ๐Ÿ“… Independently manage patient bookings, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently in line with department needs and available resources.

  • ๐Ÿ’ณ Support billing functions, including billing classifications, batching, online billing, EFTPOS processing, and Medicare details management.

  • ๐Ÿงพ Handle patient enquiries and expectations with empathy and professionalism, while following department customer service and communication guidelines.

  • ๐Ÿ’ผ Coordinate with doctors and department managers, reviewing booking procedures, updating lead times, and maintaining effective external referral relationships.

  • ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Manage accurate patient records and handovers, including creating MRNs, capturing billing and consent details, and ensuring data integrity across systems.

You’re an organised and confident administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a real difference in patient care. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • ๐Ÿง  Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and manage bookings under pressure while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • ๐Ÿ“… Solid experience in diary and appointment coordination, including prioritising tasks, meeting targets, and making the best use of available resources.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and liaise with a range of professionals across healthcare settings.

  • ๐Ÿ’ณ Hands-on experience in medical bookings and billing, including managing patient accounts and understanding Medicare and health billing systems.

  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ A flexible, solutions-focused approach, capable of handling complex administrative tasks that require sound judgement and attention to detail.
