Maximise patient revenue, manage admissions, deliver top-notch customer service on a 7‑day rotating roster as a Patient Liaison Officer with WSLHD

What you'll be doing 
We are looking for customer service focused individuals that are able to provide high-quality customer service while managing admissions and revenue processes across a 7-day rotating roster (shift hours between 7:00am–11:30pm). This role is ideal for organised, independent workers with a strong focus on detail and communication. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maximising patient revenue by accurately classifying admissions and promoting private health insurance.
  • Providing support, training, and guidance to staff across multiple facilities.
  • Handling complex financial classifications, paperwork, and patient enquiries.
  • Maintaining compliance with NSW Health and WSLHD policies.
  • Using key systems (iPM, Revenue Portal, THELMA, PBRC) to ensure data accuracy and reporting.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment with relationship and marketing skills
  2. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills and capacity to provide and develop sound solutions to complex issues
  3. Ability to work autonomously as well as being a member of a team
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of NSW Health information systems for billing and patient administration
  6. Preparedness to work within a 7 day roster system, supporting morning and afternoon shifts
  7. Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement new systems and processes by providing training and support
  8. Ability to interpret NSW Health Policy and ensure adherence to this Policy
