Applications are sought for the role of Data Support Officer on a full-time permanent basis, for Westmead Operating Suites, a tertiary referral trauma centre with 24 operating rooms. The position is responsible for ensuring data entered into the patient management system is contemporaneous and accurate, as these KPIs are submitted to the Ministry of Health each month. They are required to be the subject matter expert, resource and support for the digital component of operating suite which affects patient care. This includes inventory management systems and troubleshooting computer hardware and procurement of IT equipment.
What you'll be doing
In this role you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring data accuracy and system support for perioperative services at Westmead Hospital.
Maintaining and verifying surgical data
Supporting and troubleshooting systems
Reporting and liaising with staff
Training and guiding perioperative teams
Assisting with procurement and admin tasks

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines whilst working unsupervised.
Highly proficient in the utilisation of MS Office applications including word, powerpoint and excel as well as ability to create pivot charts and graphic displays as requested
Expert Knowledge of Database reporting systems (iPIMS, Surginet, hTrak and Starr ) applications
Ability to take direction and escalate issues as necessary
Ability to work as a team member
