About the Role:
In this role, you’ll work closely in partnership with Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation to provide continuity of care that builds trust and connection. Supporting Aboriginal women through every stage of their maternity journey, you will deliver care that is woman-centred, culturally respectful, and empowering from early pregnancy through birth and into the postnatal period.

Tharawal is a community-controlled health organisation based in South Western Sydney, dedicated exclusively to providing holistic and culturally safe healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their broad range of services includes primary care, chronic disease management, mental health, allied health, and maternity care. As part of this partnership, you’ll be supported by a multidisciplinary team that combines clinical expertise with deep respect for culture and community wellbeing.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Please attach a copy of your AHPRA registration in your application
- How have you delivered culturally safe, respectful care to Aboriginal women and families?
- If you are an Aboriginal midwife, how has your cultural knowledge shaped your practice and If you are a non-Aboriginal midwife, how have you worked in partnership with Aboriginal communities?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
