About The Role. In the Cardiology Unit, you will be an integral part of a skilled team, delivering compassionate care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics, monitoring, and management. Working in this unit, you'll gain expertise in cardiac assessment, managing both acute and chronic cardiac conditions, and providing care in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and precision. The role involves shift work across days, evenings, and nights.

What You'll be Doing
The Enrolled Nurse works with the registered nurse or midwife as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, quality person-centred care.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and current work rights for Australia? At this time SWSLHD does not offer VISA Sponsorship; in order to be eligible for consideration for this role you must provide evidence of current working rights for Australia.
  2. Demonstrated recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an acute care setting, providing care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions. Please provide an example of a recent clinical situation where you applied your cardiac assessment and management skills to deliver highquality care. How did you prioritise patient care, ensure safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team?
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate and engage effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary health teams to ensure responsive, person-centred care. Proven capacity to manage interpersonal conflict constructively, contributing to a safe and supportive healthcare environment.
  4. Evidence of critical thinking in the application of evidence-based nursing care. Active participation in clinical risk identification and quality improvement initiatives, with a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles including safe manual handling, hazard recognition, and incident reporting.
