About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Data Manager is responsible for data management related to the RPA Genetic Heart Disease Program, including data collection, data entry, data review and validation, analysis and reporting and quality assurance on aspect of Genetic Heart Disease patient care for clinical and research purposes. The position is accountable for the development and maintenance of Genetic Heart Disease team databases and recording of data using REDCAP for purposes including quality improvement, and research; and ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables internally and to relevant external registries and collaborators. This includes data collection, data entry, data review and validation, and analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure scientific and ethical standards of investigational and research work related to the database and contribute to generating and communicating findings in collaboration with investigators and senior clinicians. The Data Manager will also provide general administrative support to the service to ensure accurate clinic auditing. The position has a role in supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of processes and systems to support clinical governance strategies aimed at improving the safety and quality of healthcare within Sydney Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate
- Relevant graduate qualifications and/or equivalent work experience, with demonstrated research experience In the clinical, public health or health services research.
- Demonstrated advanced computer literacy, Including high-level data entry and database management experience (ie, RedCap, FileMaker Pro, or similar platform) and proficiency in MS Office applications across various operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment, effectively collaborating with clinicians, researchers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative research including comprehensive data extraction, advanced analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in report writing and data interpretation including summarising research findings and appropriate data analysis to support research outcomes.
