Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

Be Part of a Once-in-a-Lifetime Transformation in Paediatric Pharmacy

Sydney Children’s Hospital is undergoing a once in a lifetime redevelopment, and we are looking for forward-thinking early career pharmacists to join us as we move into our brand-new, purpose-built pharmacy in November 2025. Clinical training pathways in paediatric pharmacy will be provided in parallel with production services for this position.

Our pharmacy department deliver inpatient clinical, operational, HITH, ambulatory and outpatient pharmacy services to the hospital. We care for patients as part of the multi-disciplinary team under medical teams such as oncology/haematology, neurology, renal, gastroenterology, intensive care, mental health, emergency and surgical. To support career progression from undergraduate through to leadership positions we run undergraduate, intern, residency and registrar training programs. We support pharmacy technicians through Cert III and IV training. Quality improvement and research are embedded in practice, and we train our staff to be skilled educators.

The new Pharmacy will feature automation in patient care areas to streamline inventory management and a central pharmacy equipped with a robotic dispensing system. The pharmacy has aseptic, cytotoxic, and gene therapy suites, along with specialised non-sterile compounding facilities to support tailored formulations.

SCH Pharmacy are recruiting Full time Pharmacists to join our expanding team. Pharmacists are expected to participate in weekend, extended hours and on-call rosters. Opportunity may exist for a training program position and resident candidates must be able to participate in weekend rosters during operational term.

An e-list and casual pool to be created from this advertisement.
