What you'll be doing
The purpose of this position is to provide specialist support in Activity Based Funding (ABF) analysis and education, enabling SCHN to strengthen data-driven decisions that support children and young people to live their healthiest lives. The role focuses on applying ABF models, improving data quality, delivering education to raise organisational awareness, building stakeholder capability, and ensuring compliance with funding policy across internal and external stakeholders.
The Data & Reporting Analyst will support the delivery of timely and accurate reports, with relevant analysis and descriptive narrative. They will also assist the costing and analysis team in the provision and reconciliation of data.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has relevant tertiary qualifications in health informatics, information management, data/computer science, or a related field; or equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstrates experience with Activity Based Funding (ABF) models and reporting, including a strong understanding of data classifications (e.g., AR-DRG, Tier 2, SNAP, AMHCC) and relevant funding guidelines.
- Demonstrates experience in data extraction, analysis & interpretation using SQL and Excel. Strong understanding of querying relational databases and working with large datasets in health-related environments.
