Additional Information:

  • Part time/job share arrangements may also be considered. 
This position is for Saturday and Sunday shifts in the SCH Emergency Department. It is anticipated this vacancy will be filled by multiple applicants, with an expectation that a successful applicant is required to work a minimum one shift per fortnight.
The role would suit an applicant with strong orthopaedic and musculoskeletal skills, including the ability to cast, preferably with paediatric and/or the emergency department experience.

What you'll be doing
The physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and/or outpatients as determined by the particular role. The physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context, and utilise holistic physiotherapy models of care. Participation is required in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.

The Level 4 Physiotherapist will contribute at an advanced level to:
  • Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services.
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care.
Liaison with community based services relevant to the patient population
  1. Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
  2. Significant postgraduate experience and knowledge in the relevant clinical area
  3. Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in the relevant clinical are
  4. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
  5. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands.
  6. Experience in supervision of physiotherapy staff and students
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills in service delivery improvement activities and/or research
