Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital - Pharmacy Department

What you'll be doing
As a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist at Royal North Shore Hospital, you will provide high‑quality clinical pharmacy services across a range of inpatient settings, supporting safe and effective medicines use for patients within Northern Sydney Local Health District.
You will deliver patient‑centred pharmaceutical care, including medication reconciliation, clinical review, dispensing, medicines information and education, in line with NSW Health standards, policies and protocols.
Working as part of a large, experienced pharmacy team, you will be supported by and learn alongside pharmacists with specialised expertise across a broad range of clinical services.
You will actively participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to ward rounds, clinical reviews and patient education to support shared decision‑making and optimal health outcomes.
Throughout your rotations, you will be supported to develop your clinical knowledge and professional judgement through access to supervision, mentoring, and structured learning. You will participate in quality improvement activities, and performance development, with opportunities to contribute to education and research activities according to your experience level.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Must hold registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  2. Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  3. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the provision of Pharmacy services to consumers, carers and families requiring medication reconciliation, dispensing and dosing.
  4. Proven ability to work independently and to establish effective collaborative working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
