  1. Extensive experience in research output, published work, presentations at conferences and seminars, demonstrating intellectual input into the conception and direction of original research and increasing independent implementation of a research project.
  2. Medical or medical science training background with sound experience in the laboratory or clinical setting.
  3. Ability to liaise effectively and demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and ability to congenially interact with colleagues, patients and relatives from all walks of life.
  4. Internal English Proficiency Testing System (IELTS) proficiency exam (academic module) with a minimum result of 6.5 in each category and completed within the past 2 years, if applicable.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to further education and professional development.
  6. Ability and willingness to participate in the on-call roster and overtime arrangements (when directed and where necessary).
