Portland Tabulam Health Centre services include Residential Aged Care, sub-acute beds, and hosts a variety of community health services and allied health partners from the Lithgow Health Service. We are seeking a caring and committed Registered Nurse to join our rural health team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to our local community. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of clinical settings within a supportive multi‑disciplinary environment, delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, residents and clients with diverse health needs.

As a Registered Nurse at Portland Tabulam MPS, you will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence‑based clinical care, contributing to clinical decision‑making, and supporting patients and their families throughout their care journey. You will work collaboratively with medical, allied health and support staff, participate in care planning and evaluation, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role requires sound clinical knowledge, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to professional practice standards.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated skill in Aged Care Nursing as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse).
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrate evidence of being able to provide person centred care.
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work a flexible roster (includes day, evening and night shift across all days of the week, including public holidays) according to the unit/service requirements
  7. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
