A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join the NSLHD District Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Team as the District Operations Manager. Providing expertise and leadership to help guide and support the team across the district. This position is for 13 months commencing 13/7/2026-20/8/2027.

Remuneration: $2,910.06 - $2,961.15 per week

District IPAC team based at Royal North Shore Hospital
What you'll be doing
The Operations Manager, IPAC provides leadership and support to members of the IPAC Service across the District under the guidance of the IPAC Director. The role works collaboratively with clinicians and department managers across NSLHD to promote best practice in the prevention, management and control of healthcare associated infections and communicable diseases. This position reports to the Director IPAC, NSLHD to coordinate and facilitate an effective IPAC program.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Tertiary qualification (Masters level), relevant to the specialty discipline and substantial IPAC experience in an acute tertiary healthcare environment.
Demonstrated ability to project manage and meet deadlines, and commitment to quality improvement in line with the National Safety and Quality Health Standards (Standard 3).
