An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Support Officer to join the Women’s and Children’s Health team working two days per week. This ward-based position supports nurses, medical staff, and allied health professionals by delivering timely and accurate administrative and transactional services aligned with the needs of the ward or unit.
Working under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will assist with day-to-day operations while collaborating with existing administrative staff such as ward clerks and communication officers. While working under broad supervision, the role also allows for independent action and the use of initiative within established procedures.

What you will bring to the role
- Holds or willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health administration or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken work and ability to deal courteously with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, Healthroster, Staff link, iProcurement and My Health Learning.
- Capacity work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
- Able to demonstrate problem solving and prioritising skills in a work environment.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
