Nepean Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator – Dialysis to lead education, training and professional development for our Dialysis Nursing team.

As a key member of our Clinical Leadership team, you will help ensure the highest standards of care through evidence-based practice, staff mentorship, and continuous quality improvement. This position will see you ensure clinical competency and compliance with regulatory standards, support staff with bedside teaching, performance assessments and skill development. and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
  3. Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
  4. Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
  5. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
  6. Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  8. Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
