Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We are seeking a dedicated and customer focused Administration Officer to join our team in the Women & Children’s Outpatient Department. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality service to patients, visitors, and clinical staff. Your day to day duties will include managing reception and clerical tasks, handling data entry, and processing online Medicare billing using iPM and PBRC systems. You will respond to telephone and counter enquiries promptly and courteously, ensuring all calls are directed to the appropriate departments. Additionally, you will complete new patient registrations and update electronic records, maintaining accurate and complete demographic information.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting including reception duties, phone enquiries and appointment scheduling
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Medicare eligibility and billing practices
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes
- Ability to be flexible and display initiative
