What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA and demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the harm minimisation approach to illicit drug use.
- Demonstrated understanding of the range of health issues facing injecting drug users and the contemporary approaches to addressing these.
- Experience in venepuncture, wound care and accreditation in immunisation or willingness to undertake training in these areas
- Experience in providing pre and post-test HIV and hepatitis C counselling or willingness to undertake training
- Knowledge of Hep C transmission and treatment
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, teamwork, negotiation, communication, and motivational skills.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. Ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
