Crown Clerk Grade, 9/10, commencing salary of $129,464 - $142,665 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you’ll be doing
The Senior Project Officer role in the Operations and Program Support team will:

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across the NSW Health system.
  • Lead branch-wide projects to support the achievement of organisation-level strategic and operational objectives. 
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of strategic advice, information, correspondence and reports on diverse and complex policy, planning and operational matters.
  • Provide high quality data analysis and administrative support to the unit and ensure effective governance is maintained.
  • Take ownership for work, being flexible and adaptable, and making suggestions for new policies, strategies or processes to improve Unit or Agency performance.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

  • Excellent communication and time management skills, who can apply a high-level, strategic lens to coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice in an ever-changing environment.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders to support efficient business operations and timely issue resolution on a range of sensitive, confidential and urgent matters.
  • Solutions-oriented, with a growth mindset and demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • The ability to design, implement and sustain critical health projects that support the achievement of branch-wide, division-wide and/or organisation-level strategic and operational objectives. 
  • Provide consistent, high-quality support to the Executive in a high-pressure, high volume, dynamic and demanding work environment.

Essential criteria
To be eligible for this position you must meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated operational experience working in the health system for a minimum of 3 years, with a strong understanding of patient flow, access and demand. 
  • Significant experience in developing, analysing and evaluating health policy and projects in a multidisciplinary environment. 
  • Proven experience in leading and managing health projects in a large and complex service industry organisation, including relevant project management qualifications or equivalent.
