About the Role
As the manager, SLHD Youth Health Services (Youthblock), you will be responsible for leadership, strategic and operational management of the human, financial and physical resources, clinical governance, compliance, quality improvement, and safety management. You will work in partnership with SLHD emergency departments, mental health services, alcohol and other drugs, child and family services, violence, abuse and neglect, sexual health, government and non-government organisations, the local community and with young people to enhance access to health care for marginalised young people (12-25years) from priority populations.
You will oversee Youthblock Youth Health Service, a multidisciplinary primary healthcare service for marginalised & at-risk young people aged 12-25 years; together with the Wellbeing Health In-Reach Nurse coordinator program. The service operates from Redfern with outreach to Belmore Youth Resource Centre, Youth Justice, schools and non-government organisations across Sydney Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate
Tertiary Qualifications in Nursing, Social Work or Clinical Psychology with current registration to practice with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association. For Clinical Psychology, a minimum Masters or PHD and endorsement in clinical psychology is required.
Advanced clinical skills and clinical experience in the provision of clinical services to clients, preferably children or young people, with complex psychosocial needs, including those impacted by trauma, violence, abuse and neglect, mental health concerns and/or alcohol and other drug use.
Ability and experience in the leadership, supervision and management of health professionals ensuring good clinical governance.
Current NSW Driver Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
