What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-focused radiation therapy while contributing to efficient, safe and innovative service delivery across the district.
Plan and deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed
Perform simulation, treatment, QA and immobilisation procedures
Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and multidisciplinary teams
Apply advanced planning techniques (IMRT, VMAT, SABR, SRS and more)
Support patient education, safety, quality improvement and research
Casual Radiation Therapists will have the opportunity to work with a friendly and caring team at Westmead or Blacktown with a full range of radiation therapy treatments including SABR, SRS, paediatric and adolescent patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications: Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science-Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority,
Registration: Eligible for AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist
Licence: Eligible for EPA licensure by the Department of Environment and Climate Control NSW
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, including Demonstrate excellent communication skills in written, oral and electronic formats
Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety measures in radiation therapy
Demonstrated proven ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated interest in continuing professional development, research and quality improvement activities
Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care
