Remuneration: $61,962.05- $62,396.17 per annum / $31.24-$31.46 per hour
Hours Per Week: Up to 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
As a Wardsperson, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clinical teams and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This hands-on position involves working closely with nursing staff and other hospital professionals.
Assist with patient care activities such as rolling, turning, bathing, and mobilising
Safely transport patients via bed or wheelchair throughout the hospital
Operate relevant equipment and maintain compliance with safety standards
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a positive team culture

Demonstrated experience as a wardsperson or in a patient care role within an acute care setting
Demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective time management and prioritisation skills
Good knowledge of Infection Control and, Work Health and Safety standards and procedures, with a particular focus on clinical manual handling
Ability to work effectively as a team member, supporting other and taking directions from team leaders, supervisors and other staff as required.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate respectfully to line management, colleagues, patients and visitors.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, which includes pushing patient occupied beds, lifting patients using relevant equipment and mobilising wheeled equipment.
Ability and willingness to work a 24 hr/ 7 day per week rotating roster across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital, which includes weekends and public holidays.
