What you'll be doing
As a Wardsperson, you will support nursing staff and patients, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the ward. You will play a vital role in patient care, transportation, and ward maintenance.
· Assist with patient transportation in beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs
· Support mortuary and ward duties, including cleaning and manual handling
· Transport documents, equipment, and specimens to aid hospital flow
· Work collaboratively with nurses, supervisors, and other hospital staff
· Maintain workplace safety and participate in WHS training

Selection Criteria:
1. Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles.
3. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, including ability to read and write in English.
5. Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe.
6. Able to do a rotating roster.
