About the Opportunity

To effectively supervise the reception, documentation and progress of telephone and other calls relating to the management of the day of shift absences and the rostering of on road vacancies. Through active supervision effectively co-ordinate the provision of the day of shift roster for the current day and to provide direction and assistance to the Absence Coordination Line Officer and administrative support to the rostering, deployment and People Hub teams. The position involves reviewing and determining roster vacancies are managed in a timely manner.

About You

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • You have rostering experience where you can identify scheduling irregularities, plan for effective staff deployment and provide support to operational managers.

  • Technical skills such as proficient use of call centre-based programs, workforce management applications and Human Resource Information Systems.

  • You have experience with shift management and task delegation in a fast paced, 24-hour workforce operation environment.

  • You can demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks and duties from a wide range of competing sources.

  • Enjoy the variety and flexibility that a rotating 24-hour shift work roster provides.

  • Employee’s currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
  • Employee’s currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.
