Bowral & District Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterilisation Technician to join their team as a Temporary part time position (until August 2026), who is responsible for:
- Provide clean, sterile, or disinfected items and/or equipment to stakeholders within Bowral & District Hospital
- Preparation of daily operations and sterile stock rotation and control in 2 the operating suite sterile stock room
- Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in a dedicated scope reprocessing room within the perioperative services.

Are You the Right Fit?
If you have the following, we'd love to hear from you!
- A Certificate II or III in Sterilisation Services
- Availability and capacity to participate in a rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays.
- Understanding of WHS and infection control principles pertaining to the CSSD environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently in line with the position description.
- Sound attention to detail to ensure quality objectives and to meet the required standards of the Sterilising Department
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent & experience working in a Hospital Sterilising Services Department with sound knowledge and understanding of AS 5369: 2023, Infection Prevention and Control and WH&S requirements.
2. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an integral team member under the guidance of a Staff Supervisor for the process of complex medical devices including Orthopaedic loan equipment.
3. Ability to prioritise and communicate workload to achieve quality and timely process outcomes.
4. Sound communication ability with a high standard of written and verbal skills to ensure effective listening, understanding, and following direction.
