Southern NSW LHD comprises of 2 Networks – Inland, centred around Goulburn, Crookwell, Queanbeyan, Yass, Braidwood, Cooma and Bombala-Delegate, and Coastal, cantered around Bega, Batemans Bay and Moruya in the far south-east corner of NSW.

What you'll be doing
The Paediatrician for the Child Infant Family Tertiary Service (CIFTS) is a member of a multidisciplinary team providing Tier 4 Paediatric diagnostic services to children and families from the Southern NSW Local Health District.
This position is primarily based in Goulburn but requires travel across Southern Local Health District.

Selection Criteria
Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialist (State) Award).
Demonstrated recent clinical experience and competence in general paediatric medicine, particularly child development and behaviour assessment.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience using developmental assessment tools such as Griffiths Scales of Child Development and ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)
Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills and ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills required to provide trauma-informed, high standard of clinical assessment and ability to adapt clinical practice to incorporate emerging contemporary evidence relevant to paediatric developmental, behavioural and child protection related clinical care.
Demonstrated experience, skills, willingness and ability to undertake service improvement projects relevant to population health, developmental and behavioural paediatrics.
Current NSW Driver’s License.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy.
