  1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Professional qualifications in Social Work (eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers AASW), or Senior Psychologist with a recognised 4 year degree in Psychology (with full registration with AHPRA), and at least 8 years’ post registration experience; or Clinical Psychologist with full registration with AHPRA and Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Bachelor Degree in Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma).
  2. Extensive post graduate experience in child centred, family focussed counselling, support and case management to address problematic or harmful sexual behaviours with young children and their carers.
  3. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive counselling services to individuals and their families with a demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework governing child protection in NSW.
  5. Ability to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature in combination with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a small therapeutic team.
  6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  7. Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, and development of education tools or programs to support others in providing service excellence in addition to commitment to clinical and cultural supervision.
  8. Current drivers licence or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
