About the role

This position is an opportunity for Social Workers both local or looking for a ‘Tree change’ to become a member of a dynamic rural Social Work Department.
The senior social worker is employed as a member of the multidisciplinary child & family health team. Working collaboratively with the team and caregivers the social worker provides support and intervention to families antenatally and with children aged from birth to five years of age to build family capacity to keep children safe and thriving.
The successful applicant will engage with a wide range of families including vulnerable families identified through the Safe Start program to conduct psychosocial assessments, facilitate referrals, coordinate care, develop trauma informed birth plans and provide short term case management and interventions.
