An exciting opportunity is now available for a Senior Planner/Planning Project Manager to join the District Planning Executive team, located at our Station St Office in Penrith. Your role as Senior Health Planner/Planning Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering a number of projects related to strategic, business and health service development.
The Senior Planner/Planning Project Manager at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District leads moderate-complexity health service planning and strategic projects across the full project management lifecycle, ensuring initiatives are collaboratively scoped, delivered on time, and aligned with District and NSW Ministry of Health priorities. The role provides professional leadership to the Senior Data Analyst and applies innovative, evidence-based planning methodologies to identify service gaps and shape future service models, drawing on population data, epidemiological analysis, emerging technologies, and contemporary models of care.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in health service management, project management, business management or health related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully and autonomously leading strategic and/or business and/or service planning projects, preferably in a health planning environment.
- Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels (including senior management, clinicians, primary care, non-government organisations, community groups and community members), to achieve project goals and drive required change.
- Superior written communication skills, including experience in the preparation of complex project documentation, plans, briefing materials and reports.
- Demonstrated high level understanding of the complex NSW Health planning environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment
- 1.Demonstrated problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Expertise in (or ability to acquire expertise in) extracting and analysing relevant planning data including but not limited to Ministry of Health activity projections, population projections, demographic data and service activity data.
- Demonstrated experience in a healthcare or related setting.
