We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Physiotherapist to provide high-quality services within the Cancer Care Services. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing quality of life for patients with complex needs.

 

In this role, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred physiotherapy using expert clinical reasoning while working closely within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to service planning, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement. You will also undertake responsibilities in supervision, quality improvement initiatives, education delivery to other health professionals and teaching students undertaking clinical placements.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy and current full national Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
  2. Extensive experience in Physiotherapy, with substantial expertise in Palliative Care, end-of-life care and/or chronic illness across community and/ or hospital settings.
  3. Demonstrated excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to operate autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision, when working with complex patients and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  4. Demonstrated high level of effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to suit diverse audiences
  5. Demonstrated high-level time management skills in a complex clinical environment, including the ability to independently prioritise competing demands across acute, subacute, and community palliative care settings. Proven capacity to manage a dynamic caseload while supporting junior staff and contributing to service development initiatives.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice to service managers on Physiotherapy-related WH&S, clinical service development, practice and design in response to demands and client /stakeholder needs.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and Evidence Based Practice, with an ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  8. Current NSW Drivers licence and ability to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
