About the Opportunity
Are you a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist with a passion for paediatric care and community health? South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a dedicated Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to clinically lead and support our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people aged 0-12years, while also contributing to service development, quality improvement and supervising junior Occupational Therapists.
We’re looking for someone with strong clinical expertise in paediatrics, proven leadership capabilities, and a flexible, reliable approach to care. You’ll be working in a supportive multidisciplinary environment where your ability to collaborate, innovate, and advocate for clients will be highly valued. What You'll be Doing
The senior occupational therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Describe your experience in providing advanced, person-centred paediatric occupational therapy care in a healthcare setting. How do you ensure your practice aligns with evidence-based approaches?
- Outline your experience providing clinical supervision or mentoring to junior occupational therapists or students. How did you support their development and ensure competency in their practice?
- Describe your approach to managing competing priorities and maintaining high levels of organisation and time management in a busy clinical environment.
- Can you describe a Quality Improvement project or service change you led or were involved in? What was the problem and what was the outcome?
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
