To improve the health and wellbeing of people living in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions by developing and delivering a program of work focused on an identified population health priority.  

This work will align with the goals of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) Health Care Service Plan, and the current Health Promotion Service Strategic Plan.  

The key responsibility of this position is the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of local level health promotion programs and initiatives, and supervision of relevant Health Promotion Officers working to deliver programs within a designated population health priority area.

From Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms. -          Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category B role

-          Relevant tertiary qualifications in health promotion, population health, education, community development, allied health or other relevant field, as well as extensive experience in Health Promotion practice

This is a temporary leave relief position until 31 January 2027 with the possibility of extension.
