What you'll be doing
You will provide advanced, specialised nutrition care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders and those undergoing surgery, while playing a key leadership and consultancy role across the hospital.
• Deliver high level assessment, counselling and therapeutic diet management
• Act as a clinical consultant to medical, nursing and allied health staff
• Lead development and review of nutrition policies, protocols and resources
• Supervise junior dietitians, assistants and students in clinical practice
• Contribute to education, research and quality improvement activities

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of Dietitians’ Australia
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of Dietitians’ Australia.
Up-to-date knowledge, skills and competence in the nutritional management of patients with gastrointestinal disease and surgery.
Extensive experience in the nutritional management of patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders and surgery.
Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
Well-developed skills in clinical supervision and student teaching and training.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team that provides services to patients with gastrointestinal disorders and surgery.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience with initiating and leading quality improvement projects.
Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required
