Senior Dietitian - Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAMHU)
What you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in dietetics within a mental health, eating disorders and/or adolescent health settings. Proven ability to work independently and autonomously with advanced clinical reasoning in novel or critical situations.
- Proven ability to undertake comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop and implement individualised and group interventions that support recovery, growth, and wellbeing for young people aged 12–17 years.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and leadership to junior staff and students, and to contribute to quality improvement, service evaluation, or research activities.
- High-level communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and advocate for dietetic care within treatment planning and care coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to apply culturally safe and trauma-informed practice, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, culturally and linguistically diverse families and other priority populations.
- Demonstrated professional accountability, time management, and documentation skills consistent with NSW Health governance and Dietitians Australia professional standards.
- Willingness to be flexible within the role, including Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
