The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  2. Possess specialist knowledge and extensive clinical experience in nutritional management of consumers with complex co-morbid mental health and physical health conditions in an acute setting.
  3. Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision and student teaching.
  5. Evidence of initiating and leading quality improvement projects and research, including implementing change to improve clinical care, services, and/or outcomes
  6. Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  7. Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
