The Role
Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge in order to provide high quality therapeutic care to children and families where physical, emotional, psychological abuse; exposure to Domestic Violence and/or neglect has been experienced, consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Social Work, or Psychology/Clinical Pyschology eligibility for membership of the AASW or the APS. Psychologists – Current registration with the NSW Psychologists Registration Board. Required current unrestricted NSW drivers licence.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Social Work/Psychology/Clinical Psychology and demonstrated experience providing therapeutic interventions and case management to children, adolescents and their families at a Senior Practitioner level, including children and/or adults who have experienced child abuse and/or neglect.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislation, Interagency Guidelines and NSW Health Frontline Procedures for the Protection and Wellbeing of Children and Young People and the roles of relevant agencies.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
