Located at Westmead Hospital, this role sits within a major tertiary teaching hospital recognised for clinical excellence, innovation and research. You will join the Dietetics and Nutrition Department, working closely with the multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis Service delivering lifelong, specialist care.

What you'll be doing
As Senior Clinical Dietitian and Team Leader, you will combine advanced clinical practice with leadership, education and quality improvement responsibilities in a fast‑paced tertiary environment.
Manage a complex inpatient and outpatient caseload within the Cystic Fibrosis service
Lead and embed evidence‑based nutrition care, clinical pathways and competency development
Supervise and mentor clinical dietitians, students and dietitian assistants
Drive quality improvement, NSQHS activities and nutrition‑focused research projects
Contribute to strategic planning, reporting and service innovation across Dietetics and Cystic Fibrosis services

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer that provides eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated extensive post graduate clinical dietetics experience and a broad generalist knowledge of clinical nutrition
Demonstrated evidence of providing advice to managers on clinical service development including implementation/procedure development, evaluation, and redesign
Demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision of staff/students and evidence of contribution to education activities
Well-developed communication, coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to work as an effective team member in a busy environment
Excellent time management and organisation skills. Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and in a team
Able to display good computer skills and experience with meal/diet ordering systems such as Cbord and Cerner, virtual programs such as MS Teams, SharePoint and experiences with telehealth and electronic medical records
Experience in designing, implementing, leading, developing and evaluating research/quality improvement projects
