What you'll be doing
The SCHN National Disability Insurance Scheme Manager will be responsible for overseeing current disability support services and the continual assessment of SCHN as a provider of a range of disability services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
•Development and implementation of effective, efficient and sustainable initiatives to maximise the benefits of SCHN patients that are eligible to access the NDIS.
•Develop and establish collaborative internal and external relationships across the state to facilitate the flow of information and systems in relation to the NDIS, and monitor and evaluate outcomes.
Support the SCHN NDIS Steering Committee to mitigate the risk for SCHN
•Liaison with National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), Family and Community Services (FACS), Disability Service Providers, Local Health Districts (LHDs) and other agencies in monitoring and ensuring that eligible patients 0-17 years old are transfered into the NDIS.
•Utilise collaborative relationships to ensure the smooth transfer of patients into the NDIS.
•Undertake duties and reporting requirements associated with the NDIS
•Provide guidance, leadership and advice to SCHN and other child health services on matters relating to the transition of patients in relation to the NDIS.
•Liaise with families, clinical services (government and non-government), FACS and NDIA representatives to ensure all issues and successes are captured and escalated.
Realise opportunities within the NDIS and ensure these opportunities are maximised through the operational and strategic work of the Network.
Utilise available data to guide strategic and operational decision making within the Network.
Contribute to the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of NDIS initiatives both locally and with the Ministry of Health.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Demonstrated experience in effective negotiation and communication skills with senior personnel.
- Previous service planning, managerial experience and leadership responsibilities
- Previous project management experience and experience in supporting change management processes, with the ability to develop, monitor and reach predicted outcomes to strategic and business plans.
