This is your chance to take on a key leadership role in the SAFE START program — a prevention, early intervention, and treatment model that empowers families during a critical time. As the SAFE START Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind coordinating vital services across mental health, maternity, child and family health, and specialist support. You'll be making a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of perinatal families with complex needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the charge in delivering the SAFE START model across MLHD.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary case discussions, developing pathways and promoting education.
- Drive the integration of services to ensure families get the coordinated care they deserve.
- Ensure MLHD meets its obligations under NSW Health policies, offering consultation, coordination, and support for mental health, drug & alcohol, maternity, and more.
- This is a district-wide role with a negotiable base location, giving you the flexibility to work where it best suits you!

Remuneration: $109,247.00 - $134,500.70 per annum (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)
Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant – Grade 2, Social Worker – Level 5, Occupational Therapist – Level 5
Hours per Week: Up to 19
Location: Flexible across MLHD

- AHPRA Registration or eligibility for peak body association
- Tertiary qualifications (see position description for specific details)
- Current NSW driver’s license and ability to travel
- NSW WWCC (Working With Children Check)
- Vaccination Category A
- Current Australian working rights
