About the role
Are you a motivated Nurse Manager or equivalent leader looking to expand your operational and strategic capability? This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving workforce systems and strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of local health services.
This district‑wide leadership role will guide the delivery of rostering improvement strategies and provide expert advice on best‑practice workforce management. The role is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with rostering practices, ensuring compliance with industrial awards, enterprise agreements and local policies, and supporting safe and efficient staffing outcomes.
A key component of the role comprises of reviewing and endorsing enhancements to rostering systems, processes and tools, including the refinement of demand templates and the implementation of improved workflows. As the successful applicant, you will be required to evaluate the effectiveness of current rostering practices and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement, contribute to the development of education and training that strengthens rostering capability across the district.
Success in this position requires a strong understanding of industrial agreements, award interpretation and roster management, combined with the ability to provide clear, authoritative advice across complex stakeholder environments. This position works closely with the Executive Group, General Managers, Business Managers, the Quality Clinical Safety & Nursing Directorate and Finance Partners to support district‑wide objectives and ensure consistent, high‑quality rostering practices.
