What you'll be doing
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, together with the Sydney Children’s Hospital, forms the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN). Our aim is to provide relevant, innovative and dynamic health service for all attending our facilities.
The primary purpose of the Revenue Support Manager is to identify revenue opportunities, influence outcomes and improve related business processes to contribute to service delivery at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
This role will provide advice to the Ovserseas Patient Coordinator in raising revenue in compliance with NSW Health and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network guidelines and instructions.
The Revenue Support Manager will undertake a range of activities including responsibility for the management of Non Clinician Billing, Lifetime Care and Support, Motor Vehicle Accident Sundry Debtors and Medicare Ineligible as directed y the Overseas Patient Coordinator which require a flexible and hands-on approach to work and the ability to work independently.
The Revenue Support Manager works closely with the Overseas Patient Coordinator in ensuring excellence in service delivery by investigating issues and providing advice covering operational aspects of revenue generation at SCHN identifying gaps in revenue. This role has a close working relationship with Departments and Clinicians to identify revenue opportunities and make a direct contribution to management solutions.

- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and billing requirements relating to revenue generation within the Medicare system and Private Health Insurers
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex environment, preferable Health
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet key performance indicators and deadlines based on the strategic focus of the Network
- Proven skills in the evaluation of work processes and the ability to assist in the development of policy and procedures to improve work performance
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis and the ability to collate and present reports in a user-friendly format
