About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology is seeking experienced Revenue Officers on a casual basis for immediate and upcoming openings at our St. George Hospital and Westmead Hospital locations.

As a Revenue Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient revenue management. You will use your strong administrative and financial skills to support critical billing and revenue processes while maintaining compliance with NSW Health policies. Your ability to navigate multiple billing systems, liaise with key stakeholders—including patients, Medicare, and health funds—and provide high-quality customer service will directly contribute to the financial sustainability of our pathology services.

In this role, you’ll work within a collaborative environment, maintaining electronic records, investigating and resolving billing issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll be doing

The Revenue Officer is responsible for ensuring all revenue related administration and financial transactions and processes are managed in accordance with legislative, statutory, NSW Health and NSW Health Pathology compliance obligations.

  2. Proven knowledge and experience with regards to interpreting applicable policies and legislation pertaining to billing requirements in an accounts related/revenue setting
  3. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare a range of documents and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  4. Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to plan, priorities and organise own work taking into consideration the impact on others to achieve results and meet key performance indicators
  5. Demonstrated experience working within an environment requiring sensitivity and consideration in relation to confidentiality and privacy
