An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary part time (23hrs/week) Manager, Research Development and Implementation role for a 12-month period at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 26 January 2027 (with possibility of ongoing employment)
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 4
Remuneration: $74.46 - $88.72 per hour

What you'll be doing
Aligning with NSLHD research strategy, this position leads and coordinates development and implementation of a long-term research strategy at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH). The role is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment of research activity at HKH; developing and supporting local operational governance of research at HKH; and for building HKH research capacity. Additionally, the role is responsible for development and maintenance of collaborations with wider NSLHD colleagues and building strategic research partnerships, while overseeing the operations of HKH’s research.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Postgraduate research or research management qualification and/or equivalent experience in relevant clinical research delivery and management. Experience in local strategy development and implementation plan development.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills with proven capability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and collaboration with diverse groups, including research and contract agencies.
- Proven ability to operate across a wide range of responsibility and within delegated authority to achieve performance agreement KPIs, and to deliver on financial, service and quality targets.
