We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support the development, facilitation and implementation of cardiology research, education and quality improvement projects within Department of Cardiology.


In this role, you will contribute to advancing research initiatives while playing an integral part in educating staff and other professionals on key aspects of ongoing projects, highlighting your teamwork and collaboration skills while working within a multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Graduate qualification (Medicine, Health sciences and/or veterinary sciences) and/or research qualification such as a master’s in clinical research or related field (clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, public health)
  2. Demonstrated capacity to undertake clinical research
  3. Demonstrated ability to coordinate research projects and knowledge of evidence-based medicine. Broad knowledge of the research process and methodology
  4. Strong written skills in a range of formats, and strong interpersonal communication skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to competently operate a personal computer and related software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  6. Experience with at least one of the statistical packages
  7. Demonstrated teamwork within a multidisciplinary team
