The Workforce, People and Culture (WPC) Directorate is responsible for the provision of workforce consultancy services to the district. We work in partnership with the executive team, managers, and employees to ensure the delivery of innovative and sustainable workforce solutions across the district. Our People and Culture team is collaborative and focused on delivering a rewarding experience to all employees.

Our Workforce Safety & Risk Management team is seeking two staff members to join the team to assist with workplace rehabilitation programs over the coming months. We currently have 2 opportunities available: One part‑time contract (24 hours per week) for a period of up to 6 months with an immediate start; and One full‑time contract for a 13-week period with an expected start date of 2 March;

As a Rehabilitation and Injury Management Coordinator, you will manage individual workplace rehabilitation programs for ill and injured employees, using a proactive case management approach to support a safe, timely, and sustainable return to work. Your knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and relevant regulations will be essential in providing high‑quality support to the team throughout your contract.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Allied Health or an appropriate discipline and/or workers compensation and injury management experience and expertise. (*Formal qualifications may be offset by extensive management experience and proven expertise in injury management; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience).
  2. Well-developed oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills.
  3. Thorough understanding of injury management principles, combined with experience in managing a large caseload including complex and long term cases.
  4. Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of Workers Compensation legislation and relevant regulations.
  5. Experience in the use of SolvInjury or similar injury management data base, Health Roster, Stafflink and Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Experience in the collection and analysis of data and the ability to prepare information for reporting purposes
  7. Possess or willing to obtain NSW SIRA Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
  8. Current NSW Class C Driver’s License.
