An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to join the Stroke Service at Armidale Hospital. Working alongside the Stroke Care Co-ordinator, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred care across the stroke continuum, contributing to improved patient outcomes and ongoing service development within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

As the Registered Nurse – Stroke Care, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across the stroke continuum, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and alongside the Stroke Care Co-ordinator to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing person-centred, evidence-based nursing care to patients with stroke, while supporting patients and carers throughout their care journey.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes, contribute to service improvement, and support best practice in stroke care.
You will be supported by the Stroke Care Co-ordinator and the Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery, with access to professional development in a supportive clinical environment. Temporary accommodation may be available for eligible applicants.
About you
We are seeking a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and improving outcomes for patients affected by stroke.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in stroke care, or a demonstrated interest in developing expertise in stroke nursing, with a commitment to evidence-based practice, person-centred care, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
