Based in the heart of Moree, this role sits within a warm, highly collaborative multidisciplinary palliative care team delivering person-centred care across Moree, Mungindi, Boggabilla, Toomelah, and Warialda. The service is deeply community-focused, with strong local and Aboriginal partnerships, and a commitment to dignity, cultural respect, and compassionate end-of-life care.
You’ll work closely with OTs, Social Workers, Dietitians, Oncology, and Community Nursing teams to provide truly integrated care. The unit offers free parking, is close to town, and has a supportive, values-driven culture.
The Role
This is a sole practitioner palliative care role, working Monday to Friday (8:00–16:30), requiring confidence, autonomy, and strong clinical judgement.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering holistic palliative and end-of-life care
Supporting clients and families with symptom management and advance care planning
Outreach to surrounding rural communities
Providing culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
Collaborating with the wider MDT to ensure coordinated care
Some travel is required for outreach visits.

You’re an experienced clinician who is:
Confident working independently
Compassionate, resilient, and community-minded
Skilled in communication and relationship building
Culturally aware and committed to inclusive care
This role is not suitable for new graduates.
