About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Barraba Multipurpose Service (MPS), you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse range of services — including 16 Residential Aged Care beds, 6 Sub-Acute Inpatient beds, a 24/7 Emergency Department, Community Health, and a Day Centre.

Working in this dynamic rural setting, you’ll be part of a dedicated nursing team, rotating through morning, evening, and night shifts. This varied environment provides the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills and gain valuable experience across multiple areas of care. You’ll be supported to grow professionally, with opportunities to complete further education and develop competencies in triage, leadership, and acting as the nurse in charge.

Where You’ll Be Working

Based at Barraba MPS, a modern 22-bed facility established in 2003, you’ll be part of a service that proudly supports the vibrant Barraba community and surrounding rural areas. Our MPS provides a full continuum of care — from emergency and acute services to residential aged care and community health — with strong referral pathways to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital for more specialised needs.

At Barraba MPS, teamwork is at the heart of what we do. You’ll join a supportive, collaborative environment where nurses work closely to achieve the best outcomes for patients, residents, and their families. This role is perfect for someone passionate about rural healthcare and looking to make a genuine difference in a welcoming community.
