Employment Type: Permanent Full Time or Part Time, 16-38 hours per week. Temporary roles are available to visa holders, with contracts issued in accordance with visa conditions. Visa holders will be considered where no suitable Australian citizen or permanent resident is identified. 

Remuneration: $41.22 - $57.88 per hour+ 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Midwife to join our busy postnatal ward. At Liverpool Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to families during one of life’s most important moments.   • Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery care to women and newborns following birth 
  • Support mothers with breastfeeding, newborn care and provide postnatal education 
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and neonatal wellbeing 
  • Work collaboratively with midwives, medical staff, lactation consultant and the wider multidisciplinary team 
  • Promote a positive, respectful and family centred experience for every woman and her family

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Do you have current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please attach a copy of your AHPRA registration in your application
  • Please describe your experience providing care to women and newborns in a hospital setting. How have you assessed, planned and delivered safe care to support safe discharge and positive health outcomes?
  • Describe a situation where you identified a deterioration, safeguarding concern or complex care needs in a mother or newborn. What actions did you take and what was the outcome.
